A favorite Advent tradition in the Hispanic community is the re-enactment of the journey of Mary and Joseph as they tried to find lodging in Bethlehem. That nine-day ritual is called Las Posadas. This pamphlet briefly introduces the Posada experience and offers an abbreviated service for each night. It invites families and individuals to make a spiritual posada using Scripture readings and meditations for further reflection.
Using this pamphlet, family members and parishioners will be able to participate in the simplicity and beauty of this time-honored tradition even if they cannot participate in the service at Church.

Fr. Mathew Kessler graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in physics before joining the Redemptorists in 1987. He has served as a parish priest and mission preacher, and as managing editor of the Liguori Publications Spanish imprint, Libros Liguori. He then served as President/Publisher from 2006 until the summer of 2013 and was elected Provincial Vicar for the Denver Province of the Redemptorist order in 2014.
